Not a bad mockup of what Apple’s HDTV could look like. The only thing missing is the price…

iPad Survives 100,000 Foot Fall From “Space”

Friday, January 6th, 2012 | iPhone with No Comments »

Don’t see this everyday. An iPad surviving a 100,000 foot fall. From space.

The iPad might not have been in orbital space, but the video is down right amazing. Taking into account terminal velocity the fact the iPad survived that kind of fall, fully functional and intact, makes me want to purchase a G-Form Extreme Edge case.

The company used a weather balloon to float the iPad up to the 100,000 foot marker where the balloon promptly popped and sent the View full post on ModMyi.com News Feed

Twitkafly has a ton of features for Twitter on the go!

Recently in the release of the new Activator for iOS 5 (okay, maybe not to recent, but it’s still a new feature as of late) you could invoke an Activator action to compose a lone tweet from anywhere on your iDevice. There was a significant lag when invoking this feature as the Twitter dialogue box hadn’t opened for several seconds. iOS jailbreak Developer, Moeseth, brought us a tweak a while back that lets you tweet from anywhere in SpringBoard without the View full post on ModMyi.com News Feed

Tuesday, December 6th, 2011 | iPhone with No Comments »

On Tuesday, Consumer Reports – the venerable consumer watchdog – published the results of its 2011 survey of U.S. carriers. And it turns out that Verizon is the big winner, while AT&T finished dead last.

Of the four major U.S. national cell-phone standard service providers, Verizon scored the highest in this year’s Ratings. In second was Sprint. “Survey respondents gave very good scores to Verizon for texting and data service satisfaction, as well for staff knowledge,” the report reads.

T-Mobile, meanwhile, placed third below Verizon and View full post on ModMyi.com News Feed

Downgrade From iOS 5.0.1 to iOS 5 Thanks to iFaith 1.4 (iOS 5.0 APticket Required)

Monday, December 5th, 2011 | iPhone with No Comments »

iFath is an SHSH and APticket dumping application for Windows.

If you’re on iOS 5.0.1 already, then you’re out of luck. Fortunately, those of us still on iOS 5.0 can save not only our SHSH blobs but also our APtickets, which are used in Apple’s new firmware verification process. What does that mean? It means that if you’re on iOS 5.0 right now, and you mess your iDevice up and need to restore (updates to iOS 5.0.1) then you can downgrade back to iOS 5.0 granted you used iFaith to save your APticket before you restored.

[Mac Tips] Guard Yourself From Keyloggers While Using Terminal

Friday, December 2nd, 2011 | iPhone with No Comments »

This is very easy to do… and it couldn’t be a more important feature.

If you’re always paranoid that there’s something waiting… watching in the background of your computer, just waiting for the right moment to read your keystrokes, then Terminal might be one of the worst applications that you could be using. It uses your administrator password when you log in as a super user, and if you’re a command line user instead of a GUI (Graphical User Interface) user like John Heaton, then Terminal might be View full post on ModMyi.com News Feed
